Sedan Montana is at the north end of Bozeman's Bridger range and is the remnants of one of the first area settlements. This spectacular cattle ranch country is still remote and wild despite the nearby influx of new wanna- be Montanans with plenty of money and not much idea of what it really means to be a multi generational Montanan. This shot of the Sedan cemetery reveals to me that -at least for now- some of the remote area's of southwest Montana remain mostly as they were 150 years ago. I hope they never change and the developers and the private equity whores infesting Bozeman find this area just too remote and inhospitable for golf and trophy homes. Maybe the lack of new headstones in the Sedan cemetery portends the future of this remote part of southwest Montana.
